So I picked up a double chocolate muffin from the fresh bakery section at supermarket, and the nutrition label says:
β’ Serving size: 55g
β’ Energy: 180kJ (per serving), 327kJ per 100g
β’ Carbs: 7.4g
β’ Fat: 1g
β’ Protein: 0.8g
β’ Sugar: 4.4g
I only picked it up because it literally said 180kJ which is 44kcal per muffin. I was happy on the way home, even ate 2 of it π I realised something is really off. This muffin canβt be 44 kcal lmao because that is lower than a slice of bread or a boiled potato π
Is it possible they meant 180kcal, not kJ? Has anyone else seen this kind of mislabeling before?
Pls tell me Iβm not losing my mind. π
