    I’m pretty sure it’s “off”.

It often says I burned 600 calories just taking a casual walk of maybe 3.5 miles…..

    No way 😂

  2. It is not accurate in any way and greatly overestimates burned calories. I tend to disregard it when planning my foods.

  3. Generally safer to not eat back “exercise calories”. They’re vastly over estimated by tech.

  4. If you calculated your TDEE with your activity level set to active you don’t eat your exercise calories back, they’re already factored into your final number.

If you calculated your TDEE at sedentary and do additional exercise, that extra calorie burn is not factored into your TDEE and you *should* eat extra. The calorie calculators aren’t 100% accurate and I’ve had success both during my weight loss & maintenance eating back 2/3 of what my Apple Watch says I burn.

It’s terrible at calculating exercise, it wildly over-estimates. I would ignore it.
