What is that pasta you had at 9:15? 👀👀 I’m interested in trying it

  2. I love the individual pictures with captions, thanks for adding those! This post made me realize I should look for frozen Greek yogurt bars at the store today, hopefully I’ll find some 🙂

I had cut out soda but then the zero sugar strawberries & cream hit & omg. It’s my new favorite soda!

how is it possible? 250g carbs, 113g protein and 43g fat should add up to something closer to 2000cal, no?

  5. I honestly can’t see this being only 1517 kcal with those desserts in there. Even if it somehow fits, it’s a very unhealthy diet. If you’re eating so little calories, then it’s important that those calories come from foods that you need to eat. If 2/6 meals are desserts, that’s no good. Anyway, I still don’t believe this is below 2000kcal.

  6. For those wondering how the calories work out on this- I realized after posting that the carb count is obviously off. This is because I used a decent amount of artificial sweetener and insoluble fiber in my desserts, on top of consuming a lot of fiber in general throughout the day. The body doesn’t process these carbs fully so they are considered zero calorie, but still register as carbs as MFP doesn’t automatically deduct for fiber and sugar alcohols in the overall carb count. TBH I was just being lazy and grabbing the numbers quickly as I just post these for fun while I have my breakfast. I definitely should’ve been more precise and discerning.

I know some people have feelings about sugar substitutes and “calorie-free” foods and that’s fine, do what works for you. I do not have any of the risk factors or health issues associated with the stuff mentioned in that recent study about erythritol so I’m going to keep consuming them as they make baking, cooking, and life in general more enjoyable.

If anyone has questions about any of the individual recipes and their calorie counts I have already been happy to post my full recipes! I use USDA data as well as double checking food labels and weighing every ingredient to the gram to ensure accuracy. The carbs got past me because I don’t track them personally, my focus is on overall calories and protein. I’m the one making and eating the stuff and I’m confident in my accuracy but I have no problem sharing more detailed info for anyone that wants it- but at the end of the day if you don’t believe me that’s your prerogative.

Lastly for the person calling this unhealthy- I mean “healthy” is a pretty subjective qualifier that really depends on the person, but I think the issue is the desserts? I’ve mentioned before that this is not a typical diet for me, I just bought a Creami last weekend and was just super excited to use it lol. I don’t normally eat 2 desserts a day, and the rest of my meals are all fruits, vegetables, lean protein/dairy, and whole grains. Even then though, the desserts on this day- while quite decadent and delicious- aren’t what I would call super unhealthy. The first is a homemade low calorie brownie with a small portion of light ice cream, and the second is just frozen unsweetened almond milk, sugar-free sweetener, protein powder, and a single serving (8g) of sugar free pudding mix. I do like to add tiny amounts of treat-style foods as toppings (like in the form of sugary cereal and sprinkles/light whipped cream on this day) but they account for less than 100 calories over a whole day and honestly make life more fun and enjoyable. I’m not currently trying to lose weight but cooking/food/health/nutrition have been interests and hobbies of mine for a very long time and I have been creating recipes and tracking my intake for decades. I have adhered to many different dietary lifestyles in that time and at the end of the day I’ve found that the diet that works best for me, my body, and my mind is one that is nutrient-rich while also being visually satisfying, delicious, and fun. It works for me and I truly hope that everyone else finds what works for them, too!
