I’ve been on this sub since I started my intentional weight loss journey on Feb. 12. I’ve been steadily losing weight eating a little more than 1500cal. I’ve been making sure I’ve been getting my protein in and been feeling really satiated. I knew this was gonna happen but now I’m not sure why I feel sad that I don’t have as many calories in my day. But anyway, I guess this gives me an opportunity to try new recipes!

Definitely understand the feeling of putting in a new weight and seeing the calories decrease 🙃

But you’re kicking ass!! That’s amazing! Hopefully all the progress you see can keep you motivated 👍🏼

  2. Have you considered increasing your activity level? And/or adjusting your goal rate of weight loss? As you get <200lb, 2 lb per week is not really a realistic goal rate of weight loss. Generally it’s not recommended to lose >1% of your bodyweight per week. If you adjust your goal to 1.5 lb per week, that would allow you to have a higher calorie target! Or even 1 lb per week!

I feel you. I was feeling so positive about my intake for the first week or so at 1660Cal… weighed in & updated on the first day of a week-long trip & was horrified to see it drop to 1200! Wtf?! I changed my goal to 1.5lb/wk (1350Cal) but that week of travel was ROUGH 😣

Once I get cut to about 1300 I readjust my goal to a slower rate because it just gets too hard!

  5. Ur doing great! I remember this sweet sorrow of losing weight & the having to cut daily cals. Ugh.. it’s part of it unfortunately lol
I bet you can come up w/a bunch cool recipes & new ideas to make cals stretch!

  6. You could also could — to make things easier mentally and physically — eat at your goal weight maintenance several times a week. [TDEEcalculator.net](https://TDEEcalculator.net) puts your *sedentary* goal weight maintenance at 1,826 cals a day. I’d be throwing some higher days in there so you don’t go crazy, especially if you’re also working out or are very active. I am 5’3″ and I used to lose 1.5lbs a week on 1,900 calories a day because I worked out and had an active job. I’m still 5’3″ and I don’t typically eat under 1,600 ever because I still work out daily, though now I have a sedentary job, so I have to be more mindful. But yeah, great job, OP. I know you have to feel amazing!
