I really hope no one is going with 1200 unless it’s recommended by their activity level and height

No one should be eating below 1200 at all ever, and even 1200 isn’t a long term sustainable diet. Short term weight loss for petite sedentary women isn’t a sensible lifestyle for anyone long term.

I’m wondering though, did it say anything anywhere about Jamil’s specific diet? Or just that she was “dieting” for 20 years?

  3. Jameela also spouts a lot of fatlogicky bullshit so I wouldn’t trust anything she says at this point

I don’t believe anything she says. She just spews anything and everything for attention.

This lady is 5’10, if she told her doctor she was eating 1200 they would tell her not to do that.

I’m 5’2, I tell my doctor I am eating 1200 and I lose 1 pound a week and she tells me that I’m doing perfect. It’s not a diet if you’re literally going against what your doctor is telling you to do, it’s self harm and it’s not the same at all.

Don’t group her in with us.

  6. Hi whatever you think of Jameela, this is a good reminder. If this doesn’t apply to you, if you are following medical advice, KEEP SCROLLING. It’s just a friendly reminder.

  7. tbh i look pretty young for my age rn but recently i’ve been seeing really thin celebrities age like fucking ass and it’s scary going down this path :,(

I knew it. That’s why I never started dieting. Self care is important!

    1) She’s very tall, obviously 1200 for a person who is 5’10” vs one who is 5’0” are very different rates of deficit.

    2) Surely *what* you eat and activity must matter. Someone who eats Melba toast all day vs someone who gets plenty of protein, vitamin-rich foods and veggies; a couch-potato vs someone who is active including weight-bearing exercise.

    3) Does anyone have a source saying that calorie deficit alone (independent of nutrient intake) impacts bone density?
