I usually go for a sandwich with a serving of chips and fruit for lunch, but just had a snack plate today. For the life of me I can’t decide if it was too much cause I was feeling satisfied after the strawberries, or not enough because visually it doesn’t look like anything crazy. I’ve never been one for veggies or salads, so this is a good low calorie option for me.

Seems more like a snack to me than a meal but of it works for you that’s all that matters!

It’s certainly not too much. As for whether it’s enough, it seems like you are satisfied so that sounds good to me! There’s carbs, protein and fats from whole food and fun sources. Great job!

if you felt satisfied, i would say that’s pretty good.

you don’t want to feel like super hungry but you also don’t want to feel stuffed like you just ate thanksgiving dinner either lol. this looks likes a pretty balanced plate imo.

also i can just tell by looking at the strawberries, those were good sweet berries lol.

My meals are roughly the same size. I’m naturally starting to stop eating carbs because they aren’t filling and I want more bang for my buck calorie wise. Looks delicious tho. I’d 100% eat that.

If you’re in a deficit, the main thing I’ve learned is you don’t need an 800 calorie meal to get you through to the next one. This has protein, fat and carbs, looks great!

  6. It may not look like the best dish but, if you feel like it satisfied your hunger and helped you hit your targets it seems fine.

The strawberries probably wouldn’t have been enough. It’s usually the carbs/fiber that can make it seem like you’re full when you’re actually not. You prob would have been hungry half an hour later

  7. snack plates are my fave for lunch!! i do a fruit or vegetable (or both), a meat, some kind of crunchy cracker or chip, and then full fat cheese or cottage cheese. usually also have something for dipping like mustard or hot sauce.

So many of my meals look like this! Lol, I love my “girl dinners.”

I do snack lunches that usually don’t break 400 calories so i can have extra room for dinner. (I’m only 5-1 so in deficit my daily allowance is 1400.) I will do a serving of salami or turkey, cheese stick or baby bell, carrots or blueberries, crackers and then for more protein, i whip up cottage and add some ranch seasoning as a dip. That might be a good add-on for you. You could cut the portion of crackers and add some cottage cheese dip and you’ll up the protein for the meal and likely stay fuller longer. But all in all, team adult lunchable here.

definitely not too much – i just hope your other meals are more than 300 calories (or that you’re having several snacks as well), because a 900 calorie day would not be good for anyone

  11. I absolutely love Charcuterie lunch, and mine is usually the same calories. I do a filling breakfast, snack-y lunch, bigger dinner, and a small “something sweet” after dinner. That’s what works for me and my hunger. Do what works for you 🙂 It’s definitely not too much!

  12. How many meals do you eat per day? For me this would be a snack, but if you’re someone who likes to eat many smaller meals throughout the day rather than fewer larger meals, then this could work. I definitely don’t think this is too much!

  13. When I eat a meal I like it to be a little more substantial for 300 calories, but you do you.

I like something more meal like for lunch, but this could be my dinner. (Except it’s probably higher in sodium than I like – replace the goldfish with nice multigrain crackers, and the turkey with cottage cheese for example, or hummus, or guac. But same vibe.)
