My yummy breakfast this morning for tax 😊
Hi guys! I am very VERY new to tracking my food intake and I’m on a major “weight loss journey” but I mainly just want to be healthier.—I’m in a calorie counting group that’s shaming me for eating 1200 calories a day and saying that I’m under eating but I just don’t see what’s wrong with it. Please help educate me if I’m in the wrong?
I’m a 5’4, 25 year old female that weighs 354 pounds (as a result of extreme over eating my whole life) — Ive been eating about 1200 calories a day for a couple weeks and I feel amazing! I eat basically whatever I want just with healthier swaps and smaller portions. I usually skip breakfast on weekdays (work days) then eat a great lunch & dinner. I also always incorporate each food group into all of my meals. I never really feel hungry or the urge to binge anymore like I used to before tracking my calorie intake, if anything I feel more satisfied than when I would eat like 3,000 calories in one sitting.
I do not have health insurance therefore I can’t go consult with a doctor about everything— I’ve just been educating myself by reading stuff online for the most part. I am actively trying to get health insurance in order to see a doctor though.
Am I really unknowingly harming myself by eating 1200 calories a day? I know everyone says to go by the TDEE calculator but is it as serious as the people shaming me are making it out to be? Thanks in advance guys!
