Not fussed about being bang on 1500 every day, had a few more treats yesterday (Sunday) and less today and so it works out at just over 1500 when you work out the average.
Just starting keeping track of calories and my main learnings so far is that it’s usually not worth drinking l calories. Ive cut back massively on wine, I’d usually have a glass after work, and also stopped drinking cortado coffee at work (half milk, half espresso) in favour of just black americano. Take those small changes into account and that frees up about 200 cals per day, which were just empty anyway 😳
I’m liking setting a target in advance and eating my way to that number with foods that I enjoy, viewing the calories as a positive goal to increase my energy and give me the right amount of nutrients and enjoyment to be both healthy and happy
My one rule is that I don’t allow myself to get hungry, if I go “over” my predicted target then so be it, I’ll eat enough to feel satisfied as I’m privileged enough to do so
