Breyers Carb smart is $4.99 for the 1.5 quart container, but frequently goes on sale for $2.50-3.50. Halo top is $4.89 for the pint, and usually isn’t on sale. These are the prices at my local Meijer where I do most of my shopping, but Target and Walmart also have them for similar prices in my area.
Flavor wise, I think they taste similar, like basic chocolate ice cream. Texture wise, carb smart is more fluffy while halo top is more dense. Nutrition wise, carb smart has lower carbs and protein, but higher fat. I like that the fat content helps it taste richer, but like the protein boost that halo top provides. Variety wise, I’ve only seen six flavors of carb smart ice cream and two flavors of ice cream bars. Halo top has way more flavor options, I’m not sure how many but if you shop around I think they would have at least triple the options. But for basic chocolate/vanilla, I prefer Breyers carb smart.
