Francesinha is a traditional dish of Porto/northern Portugal. A sandwich made with steak, chorizo, ham and sausage, has cheese melted over the top. Then the whole thing is covered in a tomato and beer sauce, and topped with an optional fried egg.
Of course it's served with a large side of fries because fuck my health.
This version is fully vegan, including the egg. The yolk was so realistic I had to double check! There are a few places around Porto to try a vegan francesinha, in my opinion Casanova is the best. They aren't fully vegan but have a decent vegan menu with a few different traditional Portuguese dishes.
