I want to thank everyone for your help! The majority of the comments on my post suggested a Vitamix so I looked to Facebook Marketplace. Kept checking local listings for two weeks and found what I think is a good deal! Someone was selling a 2011 Vitamix 5200 with the 64 oz container, 32 oz wet container, and 32 oz dry container, along with the tamper and wrench—all Vitamix branded. It required some cleaning up and I think one of the smaller lids wasn’t included, but I’m pretty pleased overall! I saw that new containers go for over $100 which is crazy to me. Even though the blender is out of warranty now (turning 15 years old this year), it seems like the previous owner only used it with smaller wet container for smoothies. The other two containers look untouched. I’m hoping this motor lasts me a loooong time.
I’ve already made smoothies, cold tea lattes, finely grounded spices, the creamiest and smoothest Thai peanut dressing, and now aquafaba mayo!! I will say that increasing the speed to high is pretty jarring lol. Looking for more inspiration so please share what vegan goodies you like to make in yours 🙂
