  1. This was purposely without several usual ingredients due to a dietary need in the house. I would normally add onions, garlic, and black pepper.

    Braised a whole chicken with bouillon, carrots, celery, thyme, and just enough water to barely cover for about an hour. Don’t let this boil, just a simmer otherwise the meat will dry out. Strain stock and reserve chicken meat, chop and add back in later. Toss the cooked veg, bones, and herbs.

    Into the stock added turmeric, carrots, celery, cabbage to cook about 15 min, once tender added green beans. Adjust seasoning. Serve over egg noodles. This is also great with a can of cream of whatever added.

    I love chicken noodles soup year round, but sometimes it’s too warm for actual soup.
