Got to try Y‘east in Seoul for dinner and left stunned. Out of all the restaurants we went to during our trip throughout Japan and Korea this was the best Michelin Star experience by far.
We have upcoming reservations at Evett & Gigas, but I’m quite certain this will be hard to beat.
Menu price at 240.000 Won + pairing is very reasonable for what you’re getting and I’d 100% recommend this place.
As I was personally a bit confused about the CatchTable deposit policy I felt like sharing that aspect as well: generally speaking you pay anything between 100.000 Won to the full menu price in advance and this amount will be deducted from the final bill. On the app it appeared to me that you’d pay in full after dinner and get the deposit back separately, but at least in the fine dining scene that’s not the case.
Reservations on CatchTable are easy to make, but this place and all the other ones tend to be fully booked in a heartbeat as soon as new availability gets released and even the FS concierge wasn’t necessarily helpful as all the restaurants require a credit card guarantee. So if you want to go, book right away, mostly 1 month in advance.
