I received a beautiful charcuterie board as a gift. But when I used it I feel I didn't do it justice. What can I do to make this a more pleasing display?

  1. Put crackers in blank spots and maybe add some bunches of grapes, olives, dark chocolates, or pickled okra

  2. Hehe cranberry turd.

You got good stuff so enjoy the board, you did good.

The majority of boards that successfully look good is because they are jampacked with food, every cm² needs to be covered to ooze abundance.

Crackers, bread/cheese sticks, grapes, apple, pineapple, watermelon, carrot, pickles, olives, nuts, raisons, and a dip in middle.

Pack it up and do some sort of symmetric placement so two or more people can eat the same item without crossing hands.

okay not trying to be vulgar but this literally looks like a dick and balls 😭 maybe put the shaft shaped piece towards the outside and the rose salami as the center piece, and fill the empty gaps with fruit and nuts like others suggested!

When I buy the cracker-cut cheese, I like to cut the stacks of them in half diagonally to make a bunch of triangles and then line those up. I would add fruit and crackers to fill it up. It looks good!

  5. Not crowded enough just based on what I’ve seen here before that looks really good. You could do this spread on a smaller board or add more to keep it on this board.

  6. Crackers, crostini, fruits both fresh and dried, nuts, chocolate if you’re interested not that, store or homemade Parmesan crisps, even veggies

  7. Garnish: olives, sprigs of herbs, berries, sliced veggies. Non-protein items to balance it out.

Add some small bunches of grapes and crackers to fill in the board. Some like a small pinch bowl of mustard or jam to put with also.

  9. Cluster things more and avoid symmetry. Put your 3 round shapes together just off center. Angle the goat cheese against one of the sides. Fill in the other spaces with the other things. Think of a pyramid shape when arranging the height of things. It doesn’t have to be symmetrical but put the tallest things in the middle range and stack outward. Allow things to touch and overlap. And, as others have said, add some fruit, herbs and/or nuts. Sometimes I add chocolate or other candies.

I think maybe it’s too symmetrical. Put one of the bowls in the middle, add fruit/nuts/crackers/veggies to break it uo

Too many angles, make the bowls the center and have everything bend around them

You need crackers, fruit, pickled things, and sauces of some kind like mustard, fruit jam, and honey.

I am going to go against the grain and say I do like symmetry on my board. With that being said, I think if you cut up the goat cheese and made the focal point the meat flower and also had smaller, matching bowls. It could help bring everything g together. I do love my board hammer packed and try to always have at least 3 kinds of meat,3 kinds of cheese, jam and or honey, fresh fruits, 1 dried fruit, a nut option and some crackers and bread. Bonus I like to sneak in some sweet treats like chocolate too! This is a great start tho and how I would make a casual board for a quick dinner night.
My best advice is start with your bigger focal points like your beautiful meat flowers sometimes a nice thing of Brie and build around them. Those small gaps are perfect for nuts, crackers, chocolate and even some herbs if you want to get fancy.
Good luck! Can’t wait to see the next one!
