I just ate had some Ethiopian food! I had injera with sides of Kik Alecha (yellow split peas, was little on the raw side but maybe that’s how it usually is?, left), Tekil Gomen (cabbage and carrots, right), and Gomen (collard greens which I liked the most, I think because it wasn’t as sour, middle)

Sorry if I got it wrong I haven’t had it in awhile. I chose not to have meat today because trying to save money but getting it next time! But definitely don’t miss out if you love meat! Seek best sellers. I just a little tip, if you have trypophobia, don’t get injera, although I feel like you’re missing out~ sides were alittle more sour than I thought but I think that’s normal and really good for you! Hope whoever has it first time have a good experience! Of course pick the top rated restaurant in your area~

  2. This was $16.99 USD btw, I have a small stomach so this will feed me for another 2 dinners lol. The injera bread definitely made me full fast hehe

  3. I’d try it but that looks like four towels and what they’re about to be used to clean up

  4. This is kinda gross looking to me, but I am a fairly adventurous eater and would for sure try it if given a chance. Just because something looks unappetizing to my Middle America eyes doesn’t mean it will be bad. I think the meat option would help a lot.

I can eat this everyday, my stepmother is from Ethiopia. When she made this I ate my self sick. It’s so good 😍

  6. It may not be the most photogenic but I swear to god “assorted color slop” is the most unsung important and delicious food group worldwide

  7. Food looks great, that particular Injera looks like carpet but otherwise that’ll tickle the senses👍

I remember being at a scientific conference with my wife in DC and one of her colleagues suggested this Ethiopian place for dinner. I was immediately like “ugghh… really? Do we have to?” I kicked my own ass later that evening for thinking that way. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.
