Dined at Le Bernardin for the first time over the weekend for a birthday dinner. (Forgot to snag a photo of the opening bluefin). Food was spectacular. Particularly enjoyed the langoustine and the halibut. The sommelier was helpful and not pushy. They were really busy (of course) and I wish we had more personal attention, but we never felt like we were waiting for anything.

This is the least photogenic elite restaurant in the world.

Food is great but whenever someone posts here, all I see are the sloppy platings (look at the green ring of sauce in photo 2).

Good thing we are physically in the restaurant eating right now and not looking at pictures of the food.

Get out of here ya goof.

  3. God, I love that restaurant. Can’t wait to go back next month. That langoustine was delightful. My favorite dish from my most recent visit as well.

Yeah it’s weird because it doesn’t look like much but oh my god it is genuinely the best fish I’ve ever had. I still dream about it. And I’ve eaten… everywhere.

  5. It’s one of my favorites. I never understand the hate it gets. It isn’t cutting edge by any means, but they execute classic French seafood so well.

Probably the most consistent 3* in NYC. Never been disappointed going there. Their lunch is a steal.
