Wayward Vegan Cafe in Roosevelt neighborhood of Seattle. We got the vegan chicken and waffles and the breakfast Crunchwrap. Holy shit this place blew it out of the water. Not only was the food incredible but the staff were so kind. Highly recommend for my pnw vegans or anyone visiting the city.

their portions are amazing, but the food is super bland and one note
Looks fantastic!
Vegan of 9 years who lives in Seattle. I’ve tried them many times. But haven’t gone back in years. 80% of the time the food has been bland big portions. The other 20%, has been good.
Edit: the best thing I’ve ever had was about 7 years ago when they had a tempeh reuban sandwich on the menu. It was amazing.
After closing down and then a reopen they changed some things on the menu. Now the reuban is made with a fake meat that isn’t very good. Bring back the tempeh.
I went there 10 years ago and really loved the biscuits and gravy!
My family ate there twice on our trip to Seattle back in Oct. They aren’t even vegan but loved the food. We enjoyed it so much!
Yum!! I’ve always enjoyed their breakfast Crunchwrap! Is it the greatest culinary experience I’ve ever had? Not necessarily, but it’s solid vegan food.
I’m surprised by all the negativity here. Wayward did change management several years ago, so I don’t think negative experiences from years ago can speak to what the restaurant offers today.
Idk if it’s perspective in the photo but that wrap looks HUGE lol.
I love this restaurant and my husband and I eat there all the time. The service is great too!
Vegan breakfast at Peleton Cafe is so good I can’t imagine eating anywhere else
This place is so fire
I’m down in Lacey/Olympia and don’t get up to Seattle much but this place has been on my radar. Definitely wanna check it out!
Shook by the negativity on this post. I love and miss this restaurant and it was a staple for me and even my non vegan friends for years!
I love that cafe!! 😍
The last owners had people lined outside the building. It was incredible and I miss it.
Non vegan That place slaps took a vegetarian there we both loved it
We got burgers 🍔
We were just there for dinner last night! We love their wings, and a lot of their food. I am honestly a bit surprised by some of the sentiments about their food in this thread. I only moved to the United States in my 20s, so I did not grow up with classic american diner food. I don’t have a frame of reference for the non-vegan versions of most of these dishes. So even just the novelty of being able to eat a classic meatloaf and mashed potattoes with gravy, or chicken and waffles was so exciting. Also I did like the food too. I definitely have some preferences within their menu, but I must have lucked out because I have not had anything that was really bad.
