    A little treat my husband made me after an awful medical appointment


    My husband made me the most incredible hot chocolate after I had a terrible day. I’ve been sick and went to get my blood drawn at a lab, running a fever with a headache the whole time. They couldn’t find my veins, then tried to draw blood from my hands, moving the needle around because my blood would stop flowing. So I’m covered in bruises, and they still couldn’t get enough blood to do the tests I need. I got poked at least 6 times,…

    So this is hot chocolate made with soy milk, vegan whip, vegan Nutella ring, a vegan chi orange cookie, and the vegan caramel Ritter sport.This was the treat I needed after a hard day

      You can request someone else if they can’t get your vein. This how you get your vein blown out and that is extremely painful. I had awful experience new nurse trying to get me after I said I was hard poke. He attempted blew out my vein and I passed out from being in so much pain.

      So sorry u went thru this 🥹😭💓

      What a sweet treat! Sorry to hear about your experience.

      I typically have to pay special attention to hydrate (electrolytes included) before getting blood drawn due to low blood pressure. It sounds like this was something only an ultrasound tech would be able to find, and I doubt they had one around. It sucks going in as someone who doesn’t know medicine and having to find out things this way. Hopefully it’s a one off experience for you.

      Been there, friend. I walked out after attempt #3. I said we’re finished here and left. I know I was dehydrated and I have blood issues. I lodged a complaint. After 2x they are supposed to get a new tech.
