In march last year we went the first time to Pavyllon by Yannick Alleno in the Four Seasons hotel and because we had such a nice time at the counter and it was such a nice menu we decided to go back this trip.

We took the Immersive Mayfair menu, its the same one we took last year. The prices have changed but thats okay. We had five courses this year, last year it was 6.

First we drank some nice cocktails in the Bar Antoine and just looked at the beautiful interior.

We were then seated on the counter, next to the pass. Where we could see all the beautiful dishes come through.

We were presented with some nice bites first, a tartlet with chicken liver mousse and a tartlet with different structures of celeriac

Very tasty bites

Than the great bread with french salted butter

The first course was a prawn cocktail in a different way

We had some really fresh prawns paired with a white cocktail sauce, a spicy ketchup, parmesan

The second course was the first of the white asparagus of the year, coming from the Loire valley

This came with a julienne of carrots, peas, and a vin jaune foam

You taste here the best vegetables simply prepared and it was so sweet and so nice.

The third course was aged trout which was then confit at 58 degrees

Served with a fondue of leeks, genevoise sauce, barbecued bone marrow and brioche croutons

All this made a great tasting dish, the trout being ultra soft and so perfectly cooked, it went so well with this heavy sauce and the leeks

The main course was duck with a duck sauce, and a brunoise of celeriac and pear

Really tender and good tasting

This came with a super buttery mash

The dessert was île flottante, a classic french dessert, consisting of poached merengue, this came with a hazelnut praline, hazelnut creme anglaise, shaved hazelnuts and confit lemon

This was a perfect dessert to finish on

All by all this was a great meal

The service was great and the view was the best

I didn’t drink any wine
