[I ate] Nasi lemak aka fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaves with spiced fried chicken, fried anchovies, roasted peanuts, boiled egg and fresh cucumbers (Village Park Restaurant, KL)
This place still remains my number #1 after many years! I make sure to come whenever I'm in Kuala Lumpur. The rice is fragrant and fluffy, and the chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.
Looks delicious. What is that sauce the cucumbers are in? Or is that the anchovies?

One of my favorite restaurants in Kuala Lumpur. Do their servers still carry the trays and dishes while yelling out, “Panas! Panas! Panas!” (literally means Hot! Hot! Hot!) to make way through the crowd?

Tried this at a hawker center in Singapore, and still think about how delicious it was

It’s a very iconic dish here in Southeast Asia, but I had to cut down the times I can have the dish as I get older. Eating that rice will have you remembering the flavour for weeks.
