I usually make them a lot more “spiced” but in this case I had some really nice sekai ichi apples and decided to let them sort of speak for themselves. While these apples are very expensive you dont need many of them to make a pie. Just 1 apple will make a whole pie. I usually forfeit the “structural integrity” of a pie in favor of as much butter as possible in the crust
