Paid RMB498 for a VIP front-row seat, which also included traditional costume and hair styling. Went in with low expectations for the food but was genuinely surprised by how good it was. The performances were perfectly paced; the 2 hours flew by. Loved that each dish came with an explanation of its history before being served.

  1. That’s about $71 for a costume, show, and multi course meal. Tourists are flooding Japan right now but China is a seriously underrated vacation destination

  2. Hey I was there a few months ago! It was a great experience. I did the dressing up too, but could only get third row seats.

The food was pretty impressive, considering that it was just one part of the much bigger experience. I was amazed by how many kitchen staff came out during the end credits.
