[homemade] Extra Crispy Oven Cooked Bacon

  1. Not op but this is how I do it:

    420 degrees on bake. Bacon sitting on a rack suspended above a rimmed cookie sheet. Optional line the cookie sheet with foil to catch the grease.

    Monitor the bacon and flip each piece when one side is slightly browned. Repeat as necessary until it reaches desired doneness.

    Paper towel the extra grease off the bacon then enjoy.

  2. The ovens the way to go. I heard Anthony Bourdain casually mention putting bacon in the oven for his kids and gave it a try. Haven’t gone back to the frying pan since.

  3. In pro breakfast kitchen, we’d squish it between two sheetpans (parchment on top and bottom) to ensure flatness. Plus helps with the squeeze and drain@ 12min rotation
