I worked in a kitchen for a few years while in school and picked up some respectable cooking skills. I took some of those skills home with me and have made a some decent dishes since moving in with my wife a year ago, but she has recently been blowing my recipes out of the water and completely owns the kitchen now, lol. Wanted to give her some well deserved recognition, so here is a good one that she put together.
A few weeks ago she cooked an amazing rotisserie chicken. Crispy skin, juicy meat, it was perfect. A few days later with the leftover breasts, she chopped up the chicken, added some frozen vegetables, and turned it into an orzo pasta with chicken broth a bit of cream as the sauce. Chicken pot pie orzo.
Now, this is a recipe that you can find online, but the kicker was the damn piece of crispy chicken skin on top. It was almost like a chip and just elevated the dish to the next level. Look at the damn thing. She pulled this out on a random Tuesday night and I haven’t stopped thinking about it.
Let’s clap it up for my wife.
