I've tried many — Mission, La Banderita, Xtreme Wellness, a couple of store brands. They're fine. They do the trick. But they always have either a sort of starchy, flour-y flavour or aftertaste, and they always have the texture of flattened white bread instead of the stretchiness I love in a tortilla.
Fred Meyer (a Kroger store) had these Hero tortillas for $1.80 so I thought I'd give it a go, and now I'm never buying another brand again.
The macros are as expected for low cal tortillas — 80 calories for a 44g tortilla, 5g fat, 17g carbohydrate, 16g fiber (so one "net carb" if that's important to you), and 6g protein. I would not have guessed these weren't regular tortillas if I weren't staring at the nutrition info right now. Taste and texture is SPOT ON. I just had the best low calorie breakfast burritos of my life.
