Daily comments or thoughts:
Today, I really tried to eat slowly and take my time by using a timer. Ever since starting college, I’ve become a super-fast eater because I always feel rushed, but I used to eat slowly, and I want to go back to that so I can better recognize my fullness cues.
I didn’t have time for a dedicated workout, so instead, I walked everywhere and took extra trips around campus and between classes to meet my exercise goal of 10,000 steps or 45 minutes of activity. I’m also practicing staying calm about this process so I don’t panic and binge, thinking I’m restricting myself again. I want this to be an enjoyable lifestyle change, not a stressful punishment like it used to feel.
Today's indulgence was a homemade sourdough chocolate chip scone that a grad student’s wife made for us. It was so perfect to keep me satisfied for the day
Overall, I’d rate today an 7.5/10—feeling pretty good and I did pretty good about controlling myself from being uncomfortably full from my usual binge habits though out the day but after dinner and the scone I am feeling slightly uncomfortable. I hope everyone had a great day! And even if you had a slip-up, just remember: tomorrow is a new day. Yesterday is gone, and you don’t have to "restart"—just keep going. You’re doing amazing!
