since it’s ramadan rn, cheese sambosa is a staple for ftoor in my arab household, i am not religious but family fasts so i water fast with them because it’s easier to do it when everyone around you is fasting

so to stick to my deficit while also enjoying the food i normally eat, i made a healthier version of it ( one fried cheese sambosa is like 100 cals MINIMUM )

I use two pastry sheets and two kiri cheese squares, cut the sheets and the squares in half then (without using oil bc i think the pastry sheets already have oil in them) I bake them in the oven

I end up with FOUR tasty cheese sambosas for 128 cals instead of one fried cheese sambosa that’s probably more and will not satisfy my craving

( I left them too long in the oven because I was doing the dishes 😭😭 the picture is not aesthetic but u get the idea )

the 2 kiri cheese squares were 78 cals and 2 the pastry sheets i used were 50 cals
