I consumed 96 grams of protein and 1204 calories today. Im pretty content with my food but I spent at least an hour playing around with numbers in my calculator.
Ive been eating whatever I want all summer and not tracking my calories so shocker I’ve gained weight.
Now that I’ve calculated my TDEE and determined a deficit I actually have to log my meals.
My first week back to eating 1200 was hard because while I was technically eating 1200 cal, I was not using those calories wisely and unintentionally eating very low volume/calorie dense foods.
Second week I started making more grocery trips and swapping out things. I feel like every day I put so much mental work into deciding what’s going to be filling yet low calorie and high protein. I’ve decided I’m not going to the grocery store next week at all and will eat a variation of the same thing everyday.
Cooking every day is tiring, which is why I made some meal prep earlier this week. But my family (who do not eat in a deficit) went into the fridge and ate all my meal prep.
